Air, earth, fire and water: this full-day journey links four of Thailand's most talked-about sights, each tied to one of the classical elements, and invites you to become the fifth.
First comes the Dragon Temple, an 80-metre tower wrapped by a huge, friendly dragon, its height a nod to the 80 years of the Buddha's life. Climbing up through the dragon is said to shake off bad luck, and stroking its tail is believed to make wishes come true. Later you watch vendors pull back their awnings just in time for a train to roll through the famous railway market, light candles at a temple of red roses where people pray for prosperity, and finish among the boats and stalls of a traditional floating market known as the Thai Venice.
Along the way there are glimpses of rural life too, from salt fields to a demonstration of how palm sugar is made.
Guests under the influence of alcohol or drugs may be refused boarding without a refund. Wear clothing that covers shoulders and knees for the temple visits.
