For most of the year, the summit of Khao Khitchakut is off limits. Monks guard this sacred mountain and open the path only from January to March, when crowds of pilgrims make the climb every night in search of good fortune.
Local belief says that anyone who reaches the top and presses a palm against the huge oval boulder will enjoy luck for the whole year, and those who manage it three years in a row are blessed for life. The mountain lies within the national park of the same name, also known for its waterfalls with cool, clear water where locals love to swim.
Choose between a night departure to greet the sunrise from the peak or an afternoon trip to watch the sun go down. Both include a jeep ride along the park's mountain roads.
The tour runs only between January and March. Guests under the influence of alcohol or drugs may be refused participation without a refund.
Transfer included: we pick you up at your hotel. We'll confirm the pickup time after you book.
