In Thailand, some tattoos carry far more than ink. Sak Yant is a centuries-old tradition in which Buddhist monks or Reusi hermits tattoo sacred designs while chanting prayers known as kata, believed to grant the wearer protection, luck and strength.
The patterns are made of mantras written in Pali, the language of the Theravada Buddhist canon, arranged into geometric shapes with specific meanings, from shielding against enemies to attracting prosperity. That is why an authentic Sak Yant is made in a temple by an initiated master, not in a street studio.
On this trip we collect you from your Pattaya hotel, take you to a respected master and stay at your side with an interpreter guide throughout the ritual.
Transfer included: we pick you up at your hotel. We'll confirm the pickup time after you book.
