Ayutthaya, the former capital of the Kingdom of Siam, is a UNESCO World Heritage city of towering prangs and weathered Buddha statues. This trip shows it in two moods: by daylight, then by night, when the ancient ruins glow under carefully placed floodlights.
Your day begins in the gardens of Bang Pa-In, the royal summer residence, followed by lunch at a local restaurant and a visit to one of Thailand's most impressive temples. In the late afternoon you board a boat for a two-hour loop around Ayutthaya island on the Chao Phraya, Lopburi and Pasak rivers, watching the sun go down over the water. The evening ends among the lit-up towers of Wat Chaiwatthanaram.
There is a 20-minute rest stop each way for snacks and coffee.
Transfer included: we pick you up at your hotel. We'll confirm the pickup time after you book.
