Khao Yai was Thailand's very first national park and remains one of its most spectacular. Founded in 1962 and now part of a UNESCO World Heritage forest complex, it protects vast rainforest, mountain rivers and roaring waterfalls, plus wildlife ranging from macaques and deer to wild elephants and gibbons.
This full-day trip from Pattaya takes you to the park's headline waterfalls, including the cascade made famous by the Leonardo DiCaprio film The Beach. You will stop at panoramic viewpoints, enjoy lunch beside a jungle river where animals often come down to drink, and cool off with a swim at Sarika waterfall.
The day closes at the Temple of a Thousand Golden Buddhas, glowing in the late afternoon sun.
Swimming at Haew Suwat is forbidden for safety reasons. Guests under the influence of alcohol or drugs may be refused participation. Expect a fair amount of walking.
Transfer included: we pick you up at your hotel. We'll confirm the pickup time after you book.
