Two wildlife parks, one easy day out. This family-friendly safari takes you from Pattaya to Khao Kheow Open Zoo, one of Thailand's best-known open-range parks, and on to the newer Siri Tiger Park, where getting close to the animals is the whole point.
At Khao Kheow you ride through the grounds on open-air shuttles, spotting giraffes, rhinos, hippos, a white lion, red pandas, penguins, gibbons, sun bears, flamingos and an Australian zone with kangaroos and cassowaries. At Siri the pace turns hands-on: feed kangaroos, iguanas, parrots and rabbits, take an elephant ride, and even try rod-fishing for crocodiles and giant arapaima.
There are no shopping stops, and a lake with a waterfall and koi carp makes a lovely backdrop for photos.
