Set in a green valley framed by hills just outside Pattaya, Wat Yansangwararam is one of the most remarkable Buddhist monasteries in the region. Its temples were built in different eras, so every corner shows off a distinct architectural style.
This relaxed excursion combines peaceful garden walks, traditional merit-making rituals and the dazzling golden Buddha etched into a cliff face. The day ends in a village of the Karen people, famous for the brass rings their women wear around their necks, where you will hear the legends behind this unusual custom.
Extended versions are also available, adding a Chinese palace-museum, the "funeral of misfortunes" ritual at the White Temple or a petting zoo. Shoulders, knees and chest must be covered in temples. Guests under the influence of alcohol or drugs may be refused.
Transfer included: we pick you up at your hotel. We'll confirm the pickup time after you book.
